Castroville Pottery is located in the heart of Castroville’s historic district at 1215 Fiorella Street on the corner of Fiorella and Paris streets, with a gallery and an old barn converted into a complete potter’s studio. Castroville Pottery

The gallery is open on Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The gallery offers examples of elegant ceramics, rustic pottery, majolica, raku, stoneware, and fold art made by artisans from across south Texas. Our products include handmade plates, bowls, cups, dishes, platters, vases, and many functional and decorative gifts of exceptional quality.

Surrounding the gallery is a lovely brick patio where art exhibits are held. Artists who have exhibited there include potters: Jonathan Fish, John Nelson, Stewart Martin, Tim Kelley, Brad Lum, and noted stone sculptor Rachman Ullmer.

Castroville Pottery Studio

Beyond the patio lies the two-story studio, a production facility providing a comfortable home for our resident artists and contains an array of equipment, including wheels, kilns, (including a high fire cone 10 gas reduction kiln), a slab roller, an extruder, a pug mill, and a variety of clays and glazes. Classes in hand building, throwing, glazing and different types of firing will be offered at reasonable prices and taught by expert potters.
