Beginning HandbuildingInstructor: Tim Kelley(12 Week Course)Have fun making hand built pottery. Students will be introduced to all aspects of working in a pottery studio. Instructors will show you the fundamental construction methods for creating functional ceramic forms. Your projects will include slab, coil, and molds. Students will undertake a variety of projects associated with hand building while working in high temperature stoneware. Students will be required to participate in the loading and unloading of the kiln, along with dedicating time outside of their class time to work on other studio related projects. Fee covers glaze and kiln firing; students should anticipate fees for clay and some tools. Every Tuesday for 12 weeks $295.00 |

Garden ArtInstructor: Denise Martin(8 week course)A class designed to let out your inner creator. We’ll make wacky whimsical work to display in your garden or yard. Non literal figures and totem type items will be our focus. Pieces will be hand built and decorated with stamps and mixed media, i.e. spark plugs, dry wall screws, nail, wire, glass, bottle caps, what ever suits you. We’ll use rebar for support on some items and others will sit in your environment quietly demanding attention. We’ll work on simple figures with embellishments. Some will be glazed, some painted, and some stained. Beads and marbles and who knows what will be used to decorate these creations for outdoors. We’ll have fun! Every Thursday for 8 weeks - $199.00 |

Introduction to the Potters WheelInstructor: Charles Haile(12 week course)Join us on Saturday mornings for an introduction to the potter's wheel. Learn the meanings and methods of various clay terms including: wedging, centering, pulling, coning, compressing, shaping, trimming, glazing and more. Students will learn to make both the Cylinder and Bowl which are the basis of all wheel-thrown pottery forms. There will also be demonstrations of closed forms, mugs, platters, pitchers and more. This is an intimate program with an excellent faculty to student ratio that enables each person to work at their own pace and level. Students will be required to participate in the loading and unloading of the kiln, along with dedicating time outside of their class time to work on other studio related projects: practice practice practice! After School Fun with ClayInstructor: Jackie Traeger(7 week course)Introduction to pottery and fun with clay with certified master teachers. Students will be introduced to all aspects of working in a pottery studio. Children will explore their creativity and learn basic lifelong clay skills. An individualized yet structured class with safety rules, we will explore a variety of forms and medium. Instructors will encourage student’s individual creative skills while teaching projects involving slabs, coils, and molds. This class will give students a fun introduction to art. Decorative Techniques in Hand Built FormsInstructor: Taaffe Caton(12 week course)Have fun making hand built pottery. Instructor will show you the fundamental construction methods for creating decorative and functional ceramic forms. Curriculum will cover all aspects of working with earthen material. Projects will include decorative techniques after vessels have been formed, such as carving, slip trailing, adding sprigs, and glazing methods.
