Castroville Pottery was founded by Tim and Gloria Kelley in July of 2008. Mr. Kelley, a native of Vermont, has always loved different kinds of arts and took his first pottery class 18 years ago in Castroville at Lorna Francis’ house, which started a life-long friendship. He loved pottery from the start and founded Castroville Pottery to share his love for it. Mr. Kelley believes that everyone should have the opportunity to discover pottery, and makes it a point to help anyone he can while sharing his knowledge of pottery. He began by converting his storage building into a working pottery studio, bought a kiln, and started making pottery.
Our gallery offers a variety of elegant and functional ceramics and stoneware, rustic pottery, folk art, and fine gifts made by artisans from across south Texas. Our products include handmade bowls, cups, dishes, platters, vases, soaps, jewelry, and other decorative gifts.
